Side Dish: Kohlrabi with Mushroom Filling

- 8 piece Kohlrabi – small tubers or less large ones
- 250 g Mushrooms
- 1 piece Shallot
- 4 Stripes Bacon
- Salt, pepper, paprika
- Peel the cabbage, cut a little straight at the bottom (standing surface) and hollow out from the other side (ball cutter). Then cook the kohlrabi in well-salted water until almost soft, save the hollowed out contents for soup etc.
- Clean the mushrooms, quarter them and fry them in a little clarified butter. Cut the bacon into narrow strips, finely dice the shallot, add both to the mushrooms. Season with salt, pepper and paprika.
- Remove the kohlrabi from the cooking water and fill with the mushroom mixture. Serving.
- In the season it is also delicious with porcini mushrooms.
