Siggi's Puszta schnitzel

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 3 pork schnitzels, approx. 180 g each
  • 1 large egg(s)
  • 100 g breadcrumbs
  • Fat for frying
  • Margarine for sweating
  • 2 tbsp flour for the sweat
  • 2 jars of salad (Pusztasalat)
  • 500 g French fries, frozen

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Dip the schnitzel in beaten egg and then in breadcrumbs. Fry in a hot pan until crispy on both sides. Melt the margarine in a saucepan and make a roux with the flour. Add the stock from the Puszta salad to deglaze the pan. Then add the Puszta salad and simmer for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, fry the French fries in a deep fryer at 170°C for about 10 minutes. Serve everything together. Serve with salad.
