Simple anise bows

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 3 eggs
  • 150 g cane sugar
  • 1 tbsp water, hot
  • 120 g spelt flour
  • n. B. Anise

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Preheat the oven to 200°C (fan/convection oven). Briefly mix the eggs, brown sugar, and hot water with a mixer. Fold in the spelt flour. Line a baking tray with baking paper and place small heaps on the tray using a spoon. Make sure there is enough space between the heaps, as the mixture will spread slightly during baking. Sprinkle the heaps with anise. Bake on the middle rack for about 10 minutes until light yellow. The anise bows are ready when the edges of the cookies turn light brown. CAUTION! This can happen very quickly! The cookies can only be bent while they are hot, so I leave the baking tray in the oven and loosen the cookies one by one with a knife, immediately bending them into a bow. I get about 2-2.5 baking trays of anise bows from one batch.
