Simple Chili Con Carne with Chocolate

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 500 g minced meat, mixed
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 2 bell peppers, yellow and red
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 40 g chocolate, dark
  • ½ tube(s) tomato paste
  • 1 can corn, drained weight 140g
  • 1 can of beans, drained weight 250g
  • 250 ml water
  • 1 tsp, leveled salt
  • 1 tsp, leveled pepper
  • ½ tsp, leveled caraway seeds
  • 2 tsp, leveled paprika powder, sweet

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Dice the onion and bell peppers and finely chop the garlic. Sauté the ground meat with the vegetables until the liquid has almost evaporated. Now add the tomato paste and water. Stir in the spices, add the chocolate, and let it melt. Now add the corn and beans. Let everything simmer for 15-20 minutes until a creamy sauce forms. Season to taste, and you’re done. Serve with pasta and mashed potatoes.
