Sliced meat with red wine sauce

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g pork, shredded
  • 2 pinch(s) salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika powder, hot
  • 1 ½ tsp paprika powder, sweet
  • 1 tsp curry
  • ½ tsp white pepper
  • 1 liter red wine, dry
  • 1 ½ cloves garlic
  • 2 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 1 tbsp broth, granulated
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 5 minutes

In a bowl, combine the minced meat with the oil and seasonings. Finely chop the onions and add them, along with the garlic, but this is a matter of taste. Mix everything well and then refrigerate for 1 hour. Then heat a non-stick pan, add the meat, and cook until browned to your liking. Pour in the red wine and simmer over medium heat for about 45 minutes. Add a little water if needed, then add the broth and thicken to the desired consistency with flour or a sauce thickener. Tastes perfect with dumplings—but also recommended with almost any side dish.
