Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 320 g wheat flour
  • 50 g cocoa powder
  • 300 g sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 125 g butter
  • ½ tbsp clove powder (about 4 grams)
  • 1 tsp, leveled cinnamon powder (about 3 grams)
  • ½ nutmeg, freshly grated
  • 150 g powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp water, approx. cold

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

The flour is sieved onto a baking board, the cocoa is added and spread out into a ring. In the center, add the sugar and whole eggs and mix with the back of a knife until smooth. The chilled butter is then picked into the mixture (in small pieces), added the spices, covered with the flour, and kneaded into a firm ball with the heels of your hands. Roll out the dough to the thickness of a knife and cut out cookies with round cutters. Place the cookies on greased baking sheets and bake at a low temperature (approx. 160 degrees Celsius above and below) for about 20 minutes. Once cooled, they are covered with icing.
