Smoked mackerel spread

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g mackerel fillet, smoked
  • 1 small chili pepper(s)
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 1 small onion(s), red
  • 1 tsp coriander powder or 3 tbsp freshly chopped coriander
  • 150 g sour cream
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • e.g. salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Skin the mackerel fillets if necessary, remove the bones, and shred them. Place them in a bowl. Wash, deseed, and finely chop the chili pepper. Peel and finely chop the garlic clove and press it through a press. Peel and finely chop the onion, then add everything to the fillets. Add the cilantro (wash fresh cilantro, pat dry, and finely chop) and sour cream to the bowl and mix everything with a fork until smooth. Season to taste with lemon juice, salt, and pepper. The cream can be served immediately, for example, on a baguette.
