Smoked Pork with Plum and Apricot Sauce

Ingredients
 

  • 1 kilogram Smoked pork with bone
  • 180 ml Water
  • 200 ml Beef broth
  • 100 ml Beer dark
  • 100 ml Food starch
  • 100 g Double cream cheese
  • 100 g Soft prunes
  • 100 g Soft dry apricots
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions
 

  • Thoroughly wash the Kasseler, pat dry with the water in a roasting pan and cover and cook for 45 minutes in the preheated oven at 200c.
  • Take the meat out of the roaster and keep it warm.
  • Now add the beef broth to the liquid in the roaster and cook for about 5 minutes
  • Whisk the cornstarch with the beer, add to the sauce, bring to the boil and then stir in the cream cheese.
  • Add the plums and apricots to the sauce and heat briefly. Season with salt and pepper if necessary.
  • Cut the kasseler into slices, add to the sauce and let it warm up.
  • Arrange the meat with the sauce on a plate and enjoy with bread dumplings and red cabbage.
  • Of course you can also eat potato dumplings, potatoes or whatever you like to go with them - Bon appetit; 🙂
