Ingredients

  • 1 Pc. Sweet potato, approx. 200 - 300 g
  • Olive oil; but you can also vary and use coconut or curry oil
  • Fleur de sel
  • Possibly additional spices at will

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees circulating air. Brush a thin layer of the oil on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
  • Peel the sweet potato and slice it into thin strips. Z. B. with the peeler quite well. If you have one, you of course use the bread slicer 😉 The slices should not be thicker than 2 mm.
  • Spread the sweet potato slices on the baking paper and brush with oil, then sprinkle with salt. Here, too, you can vary and B. add fries, dried herbs, ground cumin or curry powder. Different salts such as chilli, herb or truffle salt are also good. Bake in the preheated oven on the middle rack for about 10-20 minutes until golden. Then take it out, if necessary let it drain on kitchen paper and let it cool down.
  • You can also simply mix the oil, salt and all the spices with the sweet potato slices in a bowl with your hands, then you save yourself brushing on the tray.
  • I tried another setting in the oven that wasn't bad either: on the middle rack for 15 minutes in the preheated oven at 150 degrees Celsius. Then reduce the temperature to 100 degrees and bake for another 15 minutes.
  • Can you e.g. good as a topping to a vegetable cream soup as part of a menu. Also goes well as a topping on salads. Also delicious: Various dips are enough, e.g. as an amuse gueule.
