Sorrel salad

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 200 g sorrel
  • 2 slices of bread (graham bread or other firm whole grain bread)
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 3 tbsp vinegar
  • 3 tbsp water
  • salt and pepper
  • garlic powder
  • Sugar
  • margarine

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Wash the sorrel leaves thoroughly and cut into strips. Cut the bread into cubes, toast them in a little margarine until golden brown, and season with garlic powder (fresh garlic also works, of course). For the salad dressing, combine the oil, vinegar, and water and season with salt, pepper, and sugar. Mix with the remaining ingredients and serve immediately.
