Soup: Turnip Soup with Galloway Beef Soup
The perfect soup: turnip soup with galloway beef soup recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 1000 g Beef soup, here from Galloway beef
- 1000 g Turnip
- 4 Potatoes
- 2 Carrots
- 0,5 pole Leek
- 4 Bay leaves
- 0,25 Tl Caraway seeds
- 1 Tl Salt
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 2 Pinches White pepper
- 2 Discs Lean smoked pork, cooked
- Put the soup, onions, leeks, caraway seeds, bay leaves in cold water and cook for about 1 1/2 hours.
- In the meantime, chop the turnip, potatoes and carrots. I did that separately with the household machine with the chip cutter.
- When the beef is done, remove it and chop it up. I cut off the fat generously. I got dogs that mixed it with their food. Put the turnips in the broth, please remove the bay leaves, leeks and carrots beforehand. I only cook the vegetables in the broth for the taste.
- Then add the potatoes with the carrots and let them cook. Then add the chopped casserole to the soup, season to taste and maybe spice up.
