Sour cherry – blueberry – jam

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g sour cherries, fresh
  • 500 g blueberries
  • 1 vanilla pod(s), pulp
  • 500 g gelling sugar (2:1)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

for approx. 4 glasses

Wash the fruit, drain, and remove the stems (frozen fruit can also be used). Pit the cherries. Place the fruit in a saucepan. Add the vanilla bean core (you can add more if you like) and mash the mixture with a potato masher. Add the gelling sugar and bring to a boil over high heat, stirring constantly. Boil gently for at least 3 minutes, stirring continuously. Then remove from the heat. Immediately fill prepared jars to the brim. Secure with twist-off lids, turn upside down, and let stand with the lid on for about 5 minutes.
