Sour cream cake à la Mathias (with mandarins)

Spread the love

Ingredients for 12 servings:

  • 1 cake base (Viennese base)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cans of tangerine(s)
  • 2 cups of cream
  • Cream stiffener
  • 2 sachets of sauce powder (instant vanilla sauce)
  • Juice, e.g. multivitamin

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

Spread sour cream on the cake base. Distribute well-drained mandarins over the sour cream. Whip the cream with the cream stiffener and spread it over the mandarins in a dome-like pattern. Mix the sauce powder and fruit juice (only half the specified liquid amount). Carefully pour it onto the cake in a circle. Spreading isn’t really necessary, and you don’t need a cake ring either. Very simple and delicious.
