Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 500g spaghetti
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 lemons (untreated)
- 1 tbsp butter
- 200 g peas, tender without pods
- 250 g cream
- Pepper, black from the mill
- Salt

Spaghetti with lemon – so fresh!!
Boil 4 liters of water with 1 tablespoon of salt. Add the pasta and cook until al dente. In the meantime, peel the garlic and finely slice it. Brush the lemon under hot water and dry it. Thinly slice the peel. (Do not cut off any of the white part, as this will make the peel bitter.) Cut a lemon in half and squeeze it. Melt the butter in a saucepan. Sauté the garlic and peas. Pour in the cream and lemon zest and cook over medium heat until slightly creamy. Mix in 2 tablespoons of lemon juice. Only now add salt and pepper. Drain the pasta and briefly toss it in the pan with the lemon cream, divide it between deep bowls, and eat up quickly! It tastes wonderfully fresh, especially in summer!
