Spaghetti Carbonara with salmon ham and Gouda

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 400 g spaghetti from the previous day
  • 2 medium-sized egg yolks
  • 100 ml cream
  • 3 slices of salmon ham
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp white pepper
  • 2 handfuls of Gouda, grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 3 minutes; Total time approx. 13 minutes

Recycling leftovers

Cut the salmon ham into strips, then into small pieces. Fry in a pan with olive oil (let it brown until it changes color). Whisk the egg yolk with cream, salt, pepper, and Gouda cheese in a bowl. Pour boiling salted water over the spaghetti and let it drain, reserving the water. Return a ladleful of the cooking water to the pot and heat the spaghetti until hot. Transfer the spaghetti to a bowl and stir in the egg mixture. Serve immediately.
