Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 750 g minced lamb
- 250 g smoked bacon
- 1,000 g tomatoes
- 500 g onion(s)
- 4 garlic cloves
- 3 tbsp tomato paste
- 2 tbsp thyme, shredded
- Salt
- black pepper
- 400g spaghetti

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour
Spicy bacon and onion sauce
Peel the garlic and slice thinly. Peel the onions and slice into strips approximately 5 mm wide. Cut the bacon into slices approximately 1 cm thick. Wash the tomatoes, halve them, and then dice them. Heat a little olive oil in a non-stick pan and sear the minced lamb over high heat until browned. Reduce the heat, then add the garlic, onions, and bacon and fry until the onions are translucent. Season with salt and pepper, then add the diced tomatoes and thyme. Cover the pan and bring to a boil. When the sauce is boiling vigorously, remove the lid, add the tomato paste, and reduce the sauce. Meanwhile, cook the pasta.
