Spaghetti with lemon sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 pack of spaghetti
  • salt water
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 2 lemons, 1 of which untreated
  • 5 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt
  • 100 g Parmesan, freshly grated
  • some freshly grated Parmesan cheese for sprinkling
  • 7 basil leaves, 4 of which for decoration

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Cook the spaghetti in salted water until al dente. Meanwhile, zest the unwaxed lemon and squeeze the juice of both lemons. Combine the lemon juice and olive oil in a large pot. Peel and chop the garlic with 3 basil leaves. Add to the lemon sauce along with the grated Parmesan cheese, season with salt, and mix well. Drain the spaghetti in a colander and let it drain well. Add to the lemon sauce in the pot and mix everything well. Serve with the Parmesan cheese and basil.
