Ingredients for 3 servings:
- 500g spaghetti
- salt water
- 1 onion(s)
- 2 carrots
- 1 bell pepper(s), red or yellow
- 1 package of tomatoes, pureed
- 1 can tuna in its own juice
- Red wine for deglazing
- salt and pepper
- Sugar
- oregano
- basil
- chili flakes
- Parmesan, grated
Instructions
Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes
with carrots and peppers
Bring the salted water to a boil for the spaghetti. Slice the carrots and dice the bell peppers and onions. Drain the tuna. For the sauce, sauté the carrots in a pot with a little oil and sugar, add the onions and bell peppers and sauté briefly. When the vegetables are translucent, deglaze with a splash of red wine and reduce. Add the passata and drained tuna and stir. Season the sauce with salt, pepper, oregano, basil, and chili flakes, and simmer with the lid on for about 10 minutes over medium heat. Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions. Serve with the sauce and grated Parmesan cheese.
