Spaghetti with tuna sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400g spaghetti
  • salt water
  • 1 onion(s)
  • salt and pepper
  • Sugar
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 pack of chopped tomatoes (approx. 500 g)
  • 1 can of natural tuna (150 g)
  • 1 bunch of parsley
  • 3 tbsp capers
  • 100 g cream
  • ½ tsp thyme, dried

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Cook the spaghetti in salted water according to the package instructions. Chop the onion and garlic and sauté in oil. Add the chopped tomatoes and simmer for 10 minutes. Chop the parsley. Drain the tuna, tear it into small pieces, and add it to the sauce. Add the capers, cream, and thyme to the sauce. Bring to a boil and season with salt, pepper, and sugar. Stir in the parsley. Drain the pasta, reserving 1/8 cup of the cooking water. Add the pasta to the sauce and mix. Add a little more of the cooking water if necessary.
