Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 200 g beans, red from the can
- 2 onions
- 3 cloves garlic
- 4 tbsp vinegar (red wine vinegar)
- 2 tbsp tomato ketchup
- 6 tbsp olive oil
- 1 dashes Tabasco
- 1 bunch of sage
- salt and pepper
- Paprika powder, sweet
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest period approx. 1 day; Total time approx. 1 day 20 minutes
Slice the onions into rings and crush the garlic cloves. Add both to the drained and rinsed beans in a bowl and mix. Mix together the vinegar and ketchup. Add the olive oil, pepper, paprika, and Tabasco and mix. Finely chop the sage and add it to the sauce. Mix everything with the beans and let it sit for at least 60 minutes, but it’s better to prepare it the day before so it’s thoroughly cooked. Serve with white bread. Can be eaten with anything, e.g., barbecues, parties, dinners, etc.
