Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 100 g sugar
  • 250 ml water
  • 8 cloves, whole
  • 3 stalk(s) cinnamon
  • 4 cardamom pods
  • 1 tsp orange peel, dried

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Heat the water and sugar in a saucepan until all the sugar has dissolved. Open the cardamom pods and lightly crack the small, black seeds (e.g., in a mortar). Add all the spices to the sugar water, bring to a boil, and then let cool, preferably overnight. Strain the finished spice syrup and pour it into a bottle. For mulled wine, heat a bottle of red wine (do not boil) and add a good splash of syrup to taste. For Glögg, add slivered almonds and raisins to the glass (if you like, add a splash of vodka too).
