Spicy Cheese Spaetzle

Ingredients
 

  • 250 g Flour
  • 3 piece Eggs
  • 200 g Grated Emmental
  • 1 piece Onion
  • 1 bunch Freshly chopped chives
  • 5 tbsp Milk
  • Chili powder
  • Salt and pepper
  • Ground nutmeg
  • Some butter

Instructions
 

  • Make a compact dough from eggs, milk, flour, salt, pepper, nutmeg and chili powder. Beat the dough until it bubbles. Bring plenty of salted water to the boil and work the dough into the water using a spaetzle sieve. When the spaetzle swim upstairs, they are ready. Strain and let stand on the side.
  • Peel and finely chop the onion, melt some butter in a pan and sweat the onion until translucent. Add the spaetzle and toast briefly, remove the pan from the heat and stir in the cheese. Season to taste with salt and pepper and finally stir in the chives.
