Spicy Chicken Wings

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 100 ml chicken broth or vegetable broth
  • 3 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp vinegar (wine vinegar)
  • 2 tsp sambal oelek
  • 1 tsp curry powder
  • 20 chicken wings
  • Grease for the tray

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Preheat the oven to 200°C. For the marinade, combine the chicken or vegetable stock with ketchup, sugar, soy sauce, vinegar, sambal oelek, and curry powder in a saucepan and bring to a boil while stirring. Rinse the chicken wings under cold running water, pat dry, cut open at the joint if necessary, and place them on a greased baking tray lined with baking paper. Brush the chicken wings thickly with the marinade. Place the baking tray on the middle rack of the oven. Leave in the oven until the wings are cooked. This takes about 30 minutes. Brush the chicken wings occasionally with the remaining marinade during cooking. Serve the chicken wings hot or cold.
