Spicy chilies filled with feta cheese, wrapped in a bread crust

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g flour
  • 20 g yeast
  • ¼ liter of milk
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 8 tbsp yogurt
  • 10 small chili peppers
  • 100 g sheep’s cheese
  • some parsley

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 45 minutes

very tasty, very spicy

First, prepare the yeast dough. Heat the milk and pour it into a bowl, then dissolve the yeast. Add the flour, yogurt, egg yolk, and salt and knead thoroughly. Let it rise for 20 minutes. Knead the dough again and let it rise for another 30 minutes. Wash and deseed the chilies. Crumble the feta cheese and stuff it into the chilies. Sprinkle some parsley over the top. Wrap the stuffed chilies again in feta cheese. Work the yeast dough around the chilies and form into nice dumplings. Bake at 160°C for 20-25 minutes.
