Spicy minced roast

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 800 g beef, chopped
  • 2 bread rolls, soaked
  • 250 g quark (cottage cheese, 20%)
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • marjoram
  • 2 tbsp parsley, chopped
  • 2 medium-sized onions, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • 100 g bacon, for topping
  • Butter, for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Soak the bread roll in water, squeeze out excess moisture, and add it to the minced meat. Mix thoroughly with the remaining ingredients and seasonings, shape into a smooth plait, and place in a greased frying pan. Top the roast with bacon and cook at 180°C for about 40 minutes, basting occasionally. Serve with mashed potatoes and beetroot salad. Tip: If you have any leftover roast, you can make a pasta dish with it.
