  • 2 tsp Coriander seeds
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp Black peppercorns
  • 1 tsp Chilli flakes
  • 2 tbsp Salt
  • 3 tsp Onion granules
  • 2 tsp Dried oregano or marjoram
  • 3 tbsp Paprika powder
  • 3 tsp Garlic powder

  • Gently toast the coriander seeds, cumin seeds and peppercorns until they are lightly colored.
  • Turn off the stove and add the chilli flakes, let the heat rise briefly and transfer this mixture to a plate to cool.
  • Mix the salt, onion granules and oregano / marjoram, add the cooled mixture and grind everything finely in a coffee grinder or similar. Possibly spread over several rounds.
  • Mix the ground mixture with paprika powder and garlic powder, pour into a screw-top jar or shaker and enjoy with anything you like.
  • This rub is very versatile. It is not only suitable for grilling, but also for hearty stews, meatballs (whether meat or vegetarian / vegan) and much more.
