Spicy Paprika Rub

The perfect spicy paprika rub recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 2 tsp Coriander seeds
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp Black peppercorns
  • 1 tsp Chilli flakes
  • 2 tbsp Salt
  • 3 tsp Onion granules
  • 2 tsp Dried oregano or marjoram
  • 3 tbsp Paprika powder
  • 3 tsp Garlic powder
  1. Gently toast the coriander seeds, cumin seeds and peppercorns until they are lightly colored.
  2. Turn off the stove and add the chilli flakes, let the heat rise briefly and transfer this mixture to a plate to cool.
  3. Mix the salt, onion granules and oregano / marjoram, add the cooled mixture and grind everything finely in a coffee grinder or similar. Possibly spread over several rounds.
  4. Mix the ground mixture with paprika powder and garlic powder, pour into a screw-top jar or shaker and enjoy with anything you like.
  5. This rub is very versatile. It is not only suitable for grilling, but also for hearty stews, meatballs (whether meat or vegetarian / vegan) and much more.
