Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 400 g sauerkraut
- 1 medium-sized onion(s), finely diced
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp paprika powder, sweet
- 3 tbsp ajvar
- 400 ml chicken stock, possibly instant
- 125 g cream
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes
Melt the butter in a saucepan and sauté the diced onions until translucent. Sprinkle in the sugar and caramelize slightly. Add the sauerkraut, paprika, ajvar, chicken stock, and cream and simmer over medium heat for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
