Spicy Pork Neck
The perfect spicy pork neck recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 1,5 kilo Pork neck
- 2 piece Onion
- 2 piece Garlic cloves
- 2 piece Carrots
- 1 piece Leek stick
- 0,5 piece Celery
- 1 Tablespoon Mustard
- 2 Tablespoon Tomato paste
- 2 Pinches Salt + pepper
- 1 Tablespoon Juniper berries
- 0,5 Tablespoon Pimento
- 0,5 Tablespoon Peppercorns
- 1 Shot White wine
- 500 ml. Broth
- 4 Tablespoon Oil
- 2 teaspoon Sugar
- Brush roast pork with mustard, season with salt + pepper, place in a baking dish. Chop all the vegetables and add them to the meat with the spices. Put in the fridge overnight.
- The next day, sear the roast in oil in a pan on all sides. Place in a large roasting dish, sear the vegetables with all the spices in the pan, sprinkle with sugar, add tomato paste and fry lightly, deglaze with wine and add the broth. Pour everything over the meat and fry at 160 degrees for 1.5 hours.
