- 1 head of red cabbage
- 2 m.-sized apples
- 2 m.-large gherkins
- ¼ celery root
- 1 tbsp horseradish
- 5 tbsp oil
- n. B. Salt

Clean the red cabbage, quarter it, and cut it into thin strips. Marinate it with vinegar, oil, salt, and sugar and let it marinate thoroughly. Finely grate the apples and celery, finely dice the cucumbers, and mix them with the horseradish into the marinated red cabbage. Other red cabbage salad mixes based on the naturally marinated salad: – with currant jam and chopped nuts – with striped or sliced pears and raisins – with bacon and onion as a warm coleslaw
