Ingredients

  • 200 g Mixed nuts and kernels, e.g. almonds, cashew nuts, pumpkin seeds etc.
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 25 g Brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 1 tbsp Sweet mustard
  • 0,5 tsp Chilli (cayenne pepper)
  • 0,5 tsp Sea salt
  • 0,5 tsp Chilli flakes

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 175 degrees (or convection 160 degrees). Melt the butter and sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat. Remove from heat and stir in the remaining ingredients. Finally stir in the nuts and make sure that all nuts and kernels are coated with the honey mixture.
  • Spread the nuts on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and roast in the hot oven on the middle rack for about 15 minutes. Mix well once halfway through.
  • Take the nuts out of the oven, let them cool down and then store them in airtight containers. The nut mixture can be kept for at least two weeks.
  • Peanuts, pecans, macadamia (unsalted), sunflower seeds etc ... are also suitable.
