Spicy white cabbage pan with tartar

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 kg white cabbage
  • 120 g rice
  • 200 g tartare (beef tartare or veggie mince)
  • 2 chili peppers
  • 4 tbsp soy sauce
  • 4 tbsp white wine vinegar
  • 2 tsp honey or agave syrup
  • 1 tbsp rapeseed oil
  • 1 pinch(s) of salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Cook rice in salted water according to the package instructions. Trim the cabbage, remove the stalks, and finely slice the cabbage. Wash, deseed, and slice the chilies into rings. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the tartare or veggie mince until crumbly. Add the cabbage strips and chilies and fry briefly. Deglaze with soy sauce, honey, and vinegar. Season with salt and pepper, cover, and simmer for about 15-20 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper and serve with the rice.
