Spicy White Cabbage Pan
The perfect spicy white cabbage pan recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 2 Onions
- 2 Garlic cloves
- 20 g Ginger
- 1 Chilli pepper
- 1 head White cabbage
- 2 tsp Sambal Oelek
- 6 Tomatoes
- 250 ml Vegetable broth
- 250 ml Cane sugar
- 250 ml Salt
- 250 ml Pepper
- 3 Stems Parsley
- 50 g Hazelnuts
- 2 tbsp Rapeseed oil
- Peel the onion, garlic and ginger and cut into fine cubes. Wash the tomatoes and also cut them into small cubes.
- Wash the chilli pepper, cut lengthways and core, cut into thin rings.
- Quarter the white cabbage, remove the stalk and cut the cabbage into fine strips, then wash and drain well.
- Put the oil in the pan and heat it up. Steam the onions, garlic, ginger and chilli rings over medium heat. Stir in the Sambal Oelek and fry briefly.
- Add the cabbage and sauté briefly, add tomatoes.
- Pour the vegetable stock on top. Season with salt, pepper and sugar and cook covered for 20 minutes.
- Finely chop the hazelnuts and toast them in a pan without oil until they start to smell.
- Wash the parsley, let it dry a little and chop finely.
- To serve, sprinkle the parsley and roasted hazelnuts over the plate.
