Spinach pasta casserole

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500g spaghetti
  • 1 package creamed spinach, frozen
  • 3 cups of cream
  • 2 eggs
  • 200g salami
  • 200 g Lyoner or mortadella
  • 200 g cooked ham
  • 100 g bacon
  • salt and pepper
  • nutmeg
  • Fondor
  • e.g. Parmesan

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 25 minutes

Prepare spaghetti according to the package instructions. Thaw the creamed spinach. In the meantime, cut the salami, Lyoner sausage, cooked ham, and bacon into small cubes. Mix the cream with the eggs and season with salt, pepper, nutmeg, and Fondor to taste. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Layer the ingredients in a large casserole dish. First, add some of the pasta, then the spinach, and a little Parmesan, if desired. Then add the sausage and bacon, a little more Parmesan, the remaining pasta, pour over the cream and egg mixture, and a little more Parmesan. Cover. Place the dish on the middle rack of the preheated oven. After 45 minutes, remove the lid and return the casserole dish to the oven for another 15 minutes.
