  • 200 g leaf spinach, cleaned
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 100 g ham, cooked
  • 150g Gorgonzola
  • 1 pkt. puff pastry, rolled up (refrigerated shelf)
  • 1 egg yolk, beaten
  • pine nuts
  • oil
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Peel and dice the onion, and fry in hot oil. Add the spinach, let it cool slightly, and season. Dice the Gorgonzola and ham and mix them with the spinach along with the pine nuts. Roll out the puff pastry on a baking sheet and spread the spinach mixture lengthwise on top. Then fold the pastry into a strudel and brush the whole thing with egg yolk. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (top/bottom heat) for about 30-40 minutes. Tip: To prevent the surface of the strudel from becoming too dark, you can place baking paper or something similar on top after a few minutes.
