Steak bites in garlic butter with Parmesan cream sauce

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 450 g beef fillet steak(s)
  • e.g. salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp butter (approx. 28 g)
  • 5 garlic cloves
  • 120 ml beef broth
  • 120 ml cream
  • 50 g Parmesan, grated
  • Parsley for garnishing

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Cut the steaks into bite-sized pieces and season with salt and pepper. Brown them in butter in a pan over medium heat for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown. Set the steak bites aside. For the garlic butter, mince the garlic and sauté in the remaining fat for about 30 seconds until fragrant, but not too long so it doesn’t become bitter. For the Parmesan cream sauce, pour the beef broth into the pan and bring to a boil. Add the cream and grated Parmesan, mix well, and simmer for a few minutes until the sauce thickens. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Return the steak bites to the pan and toss in the creamy sauce until well coated and the flavors are absorbed. Serve the steak bites with the sauce on a warmed plate. Garnish with fresh parsley. Serve with baguette, mashed potatoes, or salad.
