Steak While Sleeping in Pancakes

The perfect steak while sleeping in pancakes recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

For the pancakes:

  • 6 Pc. Eggs
  • 1 l Milk
  • 24 tbsp Spelled flour (type 630)
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 4 tbsp Butter
  • 4 tsp Sunflower oil

For the filling:

  • Garlic
  • Onions
  • Paprika
  • Mushrooms
  • Zucchini
  • Seasonal herbs
  • Cayenne pepper
  • Salt
  • Tabasco
  • 6 Pc. Beef steaks

For the pancakes:

  1. Work the eggs, milk, flour, salt and pepper into a smooth dough. Depending on your taste, you can add a little more milk or more flour. Finally, the dough should be able to flow smoothly from the ladle from a height of approx. 30 cm. If you want a fluffier pancake, add some sparkling water with it (add correspondingly less milk). Let the dough rest for about half an hour.
  2. Put the butter in a pan and fry the pancakes one after the other. Do not set the stove too high. Usually, the pancake should be turned when the above batter is thickened. Keep the pancakes warm.

For the filling:

  1. Then put the oil in a pan and fry the vegetables. Then mix this with the cream cheese. Let the cream cheese steep with vegetables. Meanwhile, fry the beef steaks in the juice of the vegetables as desired. Season with salt and pepper.

Serving:

  1. Finally, coat the pancakes with the cream cheese on one side and cut the steaks into strips and also place them on the part of the pancake to be topped. Roll up the pancakes and decorate with seasonal herbs.
