Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 3 m.-sized carrot(s)
- 3 garlic cloves
- 1 small chili pepper(s)
- some cumin
- some turmeric
- Salt
- olive oil

vegan side dish
Peel the carrots and peel them lengthwise into thin strips using an asparagus peeler. Chop two garlic cloves. Heat the olive oil in a pan. Add the chili pepper and one garlic clove and sauté over medium heat. Add the carrot strips and season well with salt, removing the chili pepper and garlic clove. Turn the carrots frequently to prevent them from burning. When the carrots have softened, add the chopped garlic and a pinch each of turmeric and cumin. Mix well and sauté over low heat until the carrots are soft. I like to eat this dish simply with toasted pita bread.
