Stewed Cucumbers

The perfect stewed cucumbers recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 500 g Pig meat
  • 2 Cucumbers
  • Butter / margarine
  • 150 g Diced pork belly
  • 1 Onion
  • 400 Milliliters Vegetable broth
  • 2 tablespoon Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Dill tips
  • Pepper from the grinder
  • 1 Teaspoon (level) Salt
  1. First dice the bacon and onions and fry them in a little butter / margarine until translucent. Season the minced meat with pepper, add and fry until crumbly.
  2. Peel and halve the cucumber and remove the core. Cut into 1-2 cm thick slices. Season with salt and dill and mix well so that all the cucumber pieces get something off.
  3. Add the cucumber to the mince and braise with it. Dust everything with flour and deglaze with the vegetable stock. Bring to the boil, do not let the cucumbers get too mushy. Thicken with flour if necessary. Taste and season again if necessary.
