Stock: Blackberry Jam with Vanilla

The perfect stock: blackberry jam with vanilla recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 kg Blackberries fresh
  • 2 piece Vanilla pods
  • 1 kg Preserving sugar 1: 1
  1. Sort the blackberries and put them in a large saucepan. Cut open the vanilla pods, scrape out the pulp and add to the berries together with the sugar.
  2. Stir well and let steep for two hours.
  3. Bring to the boil, simmer for four minutes, remove the pods and then immediately fill them to the brim in hot-rinsed screw-top jars. Turn the glasses upside down and let them cool down.
