Strowberry Vanilla Jam
The perfect strowberry vanilla jam recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 1 Kg Fresh strawberries
- 800 Gr Finest sugar
- 1 Half lemon juice
- 5 Gr Ground Tahitian vanilla pod
- Rinse the strawberries, quarter them and mix with the lemon juice, sugar, vanilla and leave to steep for 3 hours.
- Boil the fruit for 10 minutes while stirring constantly. Mix the jam and stir again then it should actually be ready to make the gel test to be sure. To do this, drizzle a few drops of jam on a chilled plate and it should gel slightly.
- Put the jam in the hot, clean glasses, turn it upside down and let it stand for 5 minutes, turn it over and let it cool overnight. The jam can be stored in a cool place for 6 months if unopened. After this time, the jam will lose its color.
