Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 150 ml whipped cream
  • 150 ml milk (UHT milk), 3.5%
  • 50 g sugar
  • 40 g dark chocolate shavings

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 5 minutes

Production with the ice cream machine

Whip the chilled cream until semi-stiff. Beat the egg yolks and sugar with a hand mixer on high speed until frothy. Slowly add the milk on medium speed. Whisk this mixture into the cream on medium speed. Slowly pour everything into the running ice cream maker, wait a minute, and then gradually add the chocolate. After 20-25 minutes, the ice cream is ready. Spoon into chilled serving bowls and serve immediately. The finished ice cream can also be stored in a sealed, freezer-safe container in the freezer compartment or freezer, but should be consumed quickly to keep the egg yolks fresh. Fresh strawberries or banana slices go very well with this ice cream.
