Strawberry and elderflower jam

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 750 g strawberries
  • 1 shot of water
  • 250 ml elderflower syrup
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 500 g gelling sugar 2:1

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Wash and dice the strawberries. Bring the strawberries to a simmer in a saucepan with a splash of water. Cook until the strawberries soften. Then puree everything with a hand blender until smooth, then bring to a boil with the elderflower syrup. Next, add the gelling sugar and vanilla sugar and bring to a boil according to the gelling sugar package instructions. Pour the jam into rinsed and boiled jars with twist-off caps and seal. Makes 4 jars, 250-300 ml each.
