  • Sugar sprinkles or chocolate sprinkles

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 40 minutes

for 20 pieces

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Grease a 15-20 cm square cake pan or line it with baking paper. First, cream the butter, salt, and sugar in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy, then add the eggs and mix well. Add the vanilla, flour, baking powder, and milk and mix until combined. Pour the mixture into the pan and bake for 30-40 minutes. Do the skewer test. Let it cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack until completely cold. For the cake pop mixture, cream the butter until soft and slowly sift in the powdered sugar, mixing well. Stir in the strawberry syrup and chill the mixture for 30 minutes. Crumble the cake into a bowl and mix in the strawberry mixture with your hands until combined. Shape the mixture into balls, place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, and refrigerate for 1 hour to set. Melt the chocolate coating, then dip the ends of the lollipop sticks into the chocolate, then insert them into the balls. Coat the balls with the melted chocolate coating and decorate with sprinkles or chocolate as desired. Place in a glass jar to dry or insert into a Styrofoam plate.
