Vanilla pudding without egg and starch

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 50 g butter
  • 50 g flour
  • 300 ml milk, long-life, 1.5%
  • 3 packets of vanilla sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

First, melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat. Do not allow the butter to boil. Once it has melted, gradually add the flour and stir continuously, preferably with a whisk. The mixture will thicken quickly, so quickly add the milk a cup at a time, stirring constantly. When the milk begins to thicken, add the vanilla sugar. After about 15 minutes of low heat and constant stirring, the pudding should be firm enough. If the pudding isn’t sweet enough for you, simply add another 1-2 tablespoons of sugar. The pudding won’t form a skin after cooling.
