Strawberry chips

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g strawberries

Instructions

Working time approx. 35 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 3 hours 30 minutes; Total time approx. 4 hours 5 minutes

Makes 20g of chips

Line a baking sheet with baking paper and spread a double layer of kitchen paper on it. Preheat the oven to 80 degrees fan-assisted oven. Remove the strawberry stems and slice the strawberries not too thinly. Arrange the slices on the paper and pat dry with another cloth. Arrange the strawberry slices on the baking paper and place them on the middle rack of the oven. If you like it really sweet, sprinkle powdered sugar on the baking paper before placing the strawberry slices. Wedge a wooden spoon in the oven door to allow the moisture to escape. Turn the strawberries over every 60 minutes. It took me 3.5 hours for the chips to dry. Cooking time may vary. After the drying time, I had 20g of strawberry chips (from 250g of fresh strawberries).
