Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 500 ml cream
- 125 g sugar
- 800 g strawberries
- 50 ml orange(s), the juice (freshly squeezed)
- 1 tbsp orange(s), zest
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Bring the whipped cream to a simmer in a saucepan and stir in the sugar. Stir briefly until the sugar has dissolved and then remove from the heat. I then pour this into a bowl and let it cool to room temperature. Wash the strawberries, remove the stems and chop them up. Puree them with the orange juice in a blender or with an immersion blender. Stir them into the cream mixture along with the orange zest, cover and let it chill thoroughly in the refrigerator, ideally overnight. The next day, churn the mixture into ice cream according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
