Ingredients

Making the floor:

  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 tbsp Water cold
  • 100 g Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Homemade vanilla sugar
  • 50 g Sifted flour
  • 50 g Food starch
  • 1 tsp Baking powder

to coat the sheet metal:

  • 1 tbsp Butter or margarine
  • 2 tbsp Breadcrumbs

Silicone mold:

  • No need to coat!

Pudding:

  • 1 packet Custard powder
  • 0,25 Vanilla pod
  • 0,5 L Milk

Covering:

  • 500 g Fresh strawberries

Cast:

  • 1 packet Red cake glaze
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 0,25 L Water cold

Instructions

Making the floor:

  • Beat eggs, water, vanilla sugar & sugar for 10 minutes until a creamy mixture has formed.
  • Mix the cornstarch, flour & baking powder, sieve, carefully fold in.

Baking tray:

  • Brush well with margarine or butter, the edge is especially important. Sprinkle with some breadcrumbs. Pour in the dough and bake at 200 ° C for about 12 minutes.

Silicone mold:

  • Painting is not necessary. Dough can be poured in straight away. bake at 200 ° C for about 12 minutes.

Overturn the cake base:

  • After baking, turn the cake base onto a paper-lined grid and let it cool down. 15 minutes are enough.

Cooking pudding:

  • Take about 50 ml of milk to mix the pudding powder (preferably with the small whisk).
  • Put the rest of the milk in a saucepan, add the sugar & vanilla pod & pulp, bring to the boil while stirring constantly.
  • Remove the vanilla pod and pull the pot off the plate. Briefly stir the pudding powder again, add to the boiling milk (stir). Pull back on the hot plate and bring to the boil.

Put pudding on the bottom:

  • Immediately put the hot pudding on the bottom.

Prepare the base:

  • Wash the strawberries, remove the green, cut in half and start placing on the outer rabd, a little sorted by size. Put the smaller fruits in the next row. I like to put the fruits in the hot pudding right away.

Alternative:

  • Attention You can also let the pudding cool down, but then you should put a foil on it so that no skin develops.

Making cast:

  • Put the cake topping in a saucepan, stir with a little water (whisk). Pour in the remaining water, add sugar and bring to the boil, stirring constantly. Remove from the stove and spread over the strawberries, starting from the outside. Let cool down.
  • Now either enjoy your meal or in the fridge and later enjoy the bottom.
