Strawberry – Vanilla – Wreath

The perfect strawberry – vanilla – wreath recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

For the cream

  • 200 g Sugar
  • 150 g Flour
  • 3 El Cocoa powder
  • 1 Tl Baking powder
  • 400 ml Milk
  • 1 packet Custard powder
  • 3 Egg yolks
  • 250 g Whipped cream or rama finesse
  • 500 g Fresh strawberries
  • 60 g Chopped hazelnuts
  1. Grease a wreath shape and dust with flour. Preheat the oven to 180 ° C
  2. Beat eggs and 100g sugar until frothy. Mix the flour with the cocoa powder and the baking powder and stir in. Fill the dough into the wreath form and bake for about 25 minutes.
  3. Bring the milk to the boil, mix the pudding powder with a little cold milk and stir into the boiling milk, bring to the boil briefly and off the flame. Whisk egg yolks, 90g sugar and 100g cream and stir into the cooled pudding.
  4. Wash and clean the strawberries and, except for a few, cut them into smaller pieces. Toast the nuts. Halve the cooled base horizontally. Spread half of the cream on the lower ring and distribute the chopped strawberries. Put the other base on top and brush with the remaining cream and sprinkle with the nuts. Cut the remaining strawberries into slices and decorate them on the wreath.
