Baking: Vanilla Donuts with Thick Strawberry Milk
The perfect baking: vanilla donuts with thick strawberry milk recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
The Buchteln
- 250 ml Milk
- 80 g Butter
- 1 dice Yeast, fresh
- 1 pinch Salt
- 80 g Sugar
- 1 piece Egg from a happy chicken
- 2 tsp Vanilla extract
- 500 g Flour, type 550

The strawberry milk
- 250 g Fresh strawberries
- 1 tablespoon Muscovado sugar
- 0,5 piece Tonka bean, grated

- Warm the milk with the butter and dissolve the yeast in it. Add egg, sugar and salt and mix everything together.
- Add vanilla extract and weigh in flour and make a smooth yeast dough. Cover and let rise in a warm place until its volume has roughly doubled.
- Butter a casserole dish very well and sprinkle with sugar.
- Form 12 balls out of the proofed yeast dough and place them in the baking dish. Cover and let rise again.
- In the meantime, preheat the pipe to 190 degrees.
- First, bake with bottom heat for 15 minutes so that the sugar can melt. Then switch to lower / upper heat and bake for another 12 minutes. Take out and brush the Buchteln with butter and sprinkle with a little powdered sugar.
- Bake for another 10 minutes.
the strawberry milk
- Wash the strawberries with hot water, if they are not from your own garden, remove the ends of the stems and cut them in half. Puree this in a bowl with the sugar and the grated tonka bean.
serving
- Put a few spoons of strawberry pulp in a bowl and mix with a little milk – the amount is a matter of taste. Now put the fresh Buchteln in there.
