Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 250 g butter
- 200 g sugar
- 1 pack of vanilla sugar, or 2 tsp homemade
- 250 g flour
- 4 eggs
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 250 g butter
- 250 g sugar
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 350 g flour
- e.g. apple sauce, for the filling
- 1 cup of cream
- Powdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour
Combine the ingredients in the appropriate ingredients to make a sponge cake and a very fine crumble cake. Pour the sponge cake into a springform pan. Spread a 1 cm thick layer of applesauce on top, then scatter the crumble cake over it. Bake at 200°C (top/bottom heat) for about 30 minutes on the middle rack. Immediately after baking, pour a cup of liquid cream over the hot cake. Dust the cooled cake with powdered sugar. Tip: I reduce the sugar in the cake by about 20%, but that’s purely a matter of taste. During the Christmas season, I also mix a little cinnamon into the crumble cake.
